Our latest release gin, produced exclusively for Waddesdon by Bucks Brothers, draws inspiration from the Five arrows; the Rothschild emblem. Waddesdon No.5 Gin is a Grape based gin rather than grain, and uses Five botanicals including Lemon and Lavender which are harvested from Waddesdon Estate. Additional Orris Root, Juniper and Long Pepper are used to complement the Lemon and Lavender. Waddesdon No.5 is enjoyed best as a classic Gin and Tonic with a premium Tonic and a Slice of Lime.
Tasting notes
Exquisitely balanced with wonderful aromatics and a clean, richly texture palate. Initially, there’s a touch of lemon peel and lavender that comes through which leads to spicy notes and sweet floral nuances. The grape based spirit lends a textured palate which great intensity and complexity. This gin is beautifully unique and very well made. It’s been two years in the making, and certainly worth waiting for! Hat’s off to the team at Bucks Brothers, this is a truly beautiful gin.
