During this curator-led tour of A Rothschild Treasury, discover the stories of the precious objects on display and learn about the tradition of treasure rooms which inspired the Rothschild family.

A Rothschild Treasury houses more than 300 objects made from rare and precious materials. From a 1st-century cameo of Augustus Caesar’s grandson to jewellery gifted by Queen Victoria, via pieces bearing Nazi inventory numbers, gold boxes and more, this gallery celebrates generations of Rothschild collecting.

In this hour-long tour with one of our curators, discover the stories behind some of these extraordinary items, many of which have never before been on public display.
